Goring and Streatley Regatta

They came, they saw and they rowed...and won!  From Fen's inspiration, teams 'Bike Babes' and 'More Bike Babes' raced at the Goring & Streatley Regatta on July 17th.  

All the training paid off as both teams put in a great performance in the preliminary rounds of the Women's Coxed Fours (beginners).  Kitted out in pink, with matching wigs, the Bike Babes beat Sinking Mens Crumpet and More Bike Babes beat the Jolly Rogers and the Crab Catchers.

In the semi-finals, More Bike Babes beat Four Gals In A Boat for a place in the final.  Unfortunately the Bike Babes were knocked out by The Fourever Hopefulls in their semi-final after being steered into the buoys.  A shame as the teams were closely matched and an all Bike Babes final would have been interesting.

However, More Bike Babes saw to it The Fourever Hopefulls were suitably beaten in the final and the Natural Born Paddlers won the canoe race.  Plans are already being hatched for the Hogs Head and next year...
